About me
"It is impossible for me to make a painting which has no reference to the powerful environment in which I live"
Peter Lanyon
My work is an emotional response to the Cornish landscape in all its forms.

My father was a Cornishman and I have fond memories growing up with adventures
on Fowey River and watching the annual Regatta; always so colourful and exciting.

Art has always been a passion, and after University in Bath I was fortunate enough to exhibit
and sell work in London, Cornwall and Bath.
I am captivated by Cornwall's dramatic coastline, granite cliffs, and stunning beaches.
I find myself naturally drawn to paint harbour life with all its textures, colours and
organic forms.

The St Ives Artists Group; the likes of Hepworth, Heron, Lanyon, Scott and Nicholson
have inspired me so much, and have all played a pivotal role in the development of my art practice today.
